Although most polyps are benign, the association between certain polyps and cancer has been confirmed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>How dangerous are polyps?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most polyps are not dangerous as they are benign, which means they are not cancer. <strong>However, over time, some types of polyps can turn into cancer<\/strong>. Usually, polyps that are smaller than a pea are not dangerous. <strong>Larger polyps<\/strong>, however, <strong>may one day become cancer or may already be cancer<\/strong>.
