They are located at the end of the intestine in the part called the anus. They are neither veins nor arteries but an intermediate vascular mass with special functional properties.<\/p>\n<p>Their role is to protect us from leakage. Hemorrhoids, in other words, seal the intestine at the anus. When the haemorrhoids &#8220;break down&#8221; then we say that we have haemorrhoidal disease. The pathology of hemorrhoids has two main elements: swelling and prolapse.<\/p>\n<p>Although 3 out of 5 now have or are about to develop haemorrhoidal disease, the causes of its occurrence remain unknown. However, there are the following factors that can lead to haemorrhoidal disease:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Chronic constipation<\/li>\n<li>Pregnancy\/childbirth<\/li>\n<li>Heavy labour contributing to frequent increase in intra-abdominal pressure<\/li>\n<li>Hereditary predisposition<\/li>\n<li>Sedentary life and obesity<\/li>\n<li>Prolonged standing<\/li>\n<li>Poor hygiene of the anal area and poor toilet habits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>It is important to stress that haemorrhoids should not be removed because their absence can create very unpleasant complications such as leakage of fluid from the bowel and involuntary release of gas. Another important reason is the incredibly unbearable pain that accompanies the removal of haemorrhoids in the patient.<\/p>\n<p>Any removal of the haemorrhoids, especially if they are swollen and with a large prolapse, therefore becomes very dangerous. Nowadays, &#8220;Hemorrhoidectomy with Laser&#8221; and is the most modern and safe thing that medical science and technology has to offer for this particular condition.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br
